Getting in shape for the Spring

Getting in shape for the Spring

Get in shape for SpringSpring is just around the corner. With the weather warming, we would like to remind you to start conditioning your body now so that you can participate in all your favorite outdoor activities without the fear of injury.

Proper Conditioning for Spring Activities

After being sedentary for the winter, it is a good idea to recondition your body before engaging in physical activities. Always warm up for five minutes and stretch before going for a walk, gardening or performing light landscaping around your home.

If you plan to begin a new exercise routine, start slowly to prevent over-exhausting your muscles, which can lead to pain and injuries. If you plan on participating in sports, start conditioning now by exercising at home or at the gym. While sports can help keep you in shape and improve your fitness, sports, by themselves, do not get you in-shape. In fact, being out of shape on the field can lead to sprains and strains.

Benefits of Chiropractic Adjustments from our Chiropractor

Our chiropractor can help improve your health with chiropractic adjustments. Receiving regular chiropractic adjustments can help prevent injuries to your extremity joints and back. When the joints are misaligned, they move incorrectly, which can lead to repetitive motion injuries and loss of range of motion. Spinal and extremity adjustments help improve the function of your nervous system, which helps your brain communicate better with your muscles.

During your chiropractic appointment, our chiropractor will look for misalignments in your back, neck and extremities. If any misalignments are found, a short, quick thrust will be applied to return the joint or vertebrae to its proper position. You may head popping or cracking or feel air entering and exiting the joint. This is perfectly normal.

Before you increase your activity levels this spring, schedule an appointment with our chiropractor for a full health and fitness evaluation. We can help you condition your body and get in shape for the warmer weather.
